Talmadge Maintenance Assessment District
The Talmadge Maintenance Assessment District (TMAD) is a volunteer
committee of concerned residents that banded together in 1999 to
help find ways to improve the public areas of Talmadge.
TMAD's efforts are funded by the $80 assessment that appears on
your property tax bill, as well as with city and county grants.
The money collected in the district is guaranteed to be spent in
Talmadge under the guidelines of a Master Plan developed with input
from the community. The plan includes: improvements to the entrances
of the community with landscaping, trees, and replicas of the historic
gates, the creation of a centerpiece for the neighborhood with landscaping
at the traffic circle at 49th and Adams Avenue; the addition of
street trees and mid-block decorative street lights on dark streets.

TMAD meetings are held at 6:30 pm on the 4th Tuesday of each
month (except December) at Hoover High School, 4474 El Cajon
Blvd., 1100 Building (View
map). All residents of Talmadge are encouraged
to attend.
